The Challenges

Mount Kosciuszko

Mount Kosciuszko is the highest point in Australia* located in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales.

*Carstensz Pyramid, or Puncak Jaya, is commonly referred to the highest point on the Oceania continent, which includes Polynesia, Melanesia, Micronesia, New Zealand, and Australia. Though, politically speaking, the mountain lies in Asia. Regardless, Carstensz Pyramid (16,024 feet; 4,884 m) is a more demanding climb, reaching more than double the elevation of Kosciuszko.
